Terms of Use & Refund Policy

Who you are dealing with

Or Zarua is published by Yanshuf Studio. These terms cover your use of the app and any purchase you make in it. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

Your licence

You may use Or Zarua for your own personal, non-commercial use, on any device you own. Except for open source components, the app itself is not for resale or redistribution. Calendar and zmanim calculations come from @hebcal/core, which is licensed separately under GPL-2.0, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under that licence — see the open source section in Settings.

What you are buying

Premium is a single one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing recurs and nothing renews. It unlocks cross-device sync and display mode on the account you bought it with. The free features stay free and are not reduced by the purchase. The price, including any tax that applies in your country, is shown before you pay. On the web, Paddle is the seller: it sells Premium to you and takes the payment, and Paddle's terms apply to that sale as well as these terms. The web price is set in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank or card company sets the exchange rate and may charge its own fees. Both are beyond our control. On Android, the purchase goes through Google Play and is subject to Google's terms. If you delete your account, Premium on that account ends. Deleting the account does not by itself refund the purchase.

Refunds

If you bought Premium on the web and it is not what you expected, write to us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it in full. You do not have to give a reason. This does not affect any right to cancel that you have by law, and nothing in these terms limits it.

Email hello@yanshufstudio.com from the address you purchased with. We request the refund from Paddle. Once Paddle approves it, it is returned to the original payment method, usually within 5-10 business days depending on your bank.

Purchases made on Android

If you bought Premium through the Google Play Store, the Google Play refund policy applies, and any refund must be requested through Google Play. If you have any trouble, write to us and we will help.

Your account

You must be at least 16 to create an account or buy Premium. Please do not misuse the app or its sign-in and sync services, for example by attacking them, overloading them or trying to reach other people's data. If an account is used that way, we may suspend or close it, and we will tell you by email why. You can delete your account at any time (details in the Privacy Policy). If we close an account for any other reason, we will refund what you paid for Premium.

About the times and dates

Candle-lighting, Havdalah, zmanim and holiday dates are calculated from your location and are provided as guidance. Communities differ in practice, and local custom takes precedence. Confirm with your own community or rabbi where it matters.

Disclaimer and limit of liability

The app is provided as-is, without warranty, except for any warranty the law does not allow us to exclude. Within what the law allows, Yanshuf Studio is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, beyond refunding what you paid for it. This limit does not apply to liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, and for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and it does not affect rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by Israeli law. The competent courts in Israel have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you are a consumer, you are entitled to the protection of the consumer laws where you live that cannot be waived, and nothing in this section stops you from bringing a claim in the courts of the country where you live, where the law gives you that right.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the app changes. The date above shows the current version. If we make a material change, we will tell account holders in the app or by email before it takes effect. A purchase is governed by the terms in force when you made it.
